The real estate industry has been tasked with making decisions that protect the safety and health of all employees, tenants, and users of the spaces that we provide and care for. We take this responsibility very seriously, so we wanted to provide some insight into the ways that we here at Tutera are responding to Coronavirus regarding our properties here in Kansas City.
As part of Tutera’s COVID-19 response, we have installed UV air purifiers that utilize UV-C light technology and bi-polar ionization in order to improve indoor air quality and protect against germs, bacteria, and viruses in the office buildings. These robust air purification systems use UV-C to deactivate microorganisms by damaging their DNA and RNA and removing their molecular makeup from the air stream. Our HVAC technicians have also installed in-duct units, so that entire buildings have an air purification system that assists in removing and reducing other components. This system proactively treats the whole building of air-conditioned space, reducing airborne and surface contaminants and pollutants through bi-polar ionization and UV lighting.
In addition to an upgraded air treatment system, Tutera is proactively disinfecting our buildings’ public areas with electrostatic backpack spraying with EPA listed disinfectant. Tutera Real Estate is offering this disinfecting service to our office tenants and retail tenants to help make our buildings as safe as possible.
